So, you want to know something about me.

  • Well, I am a commercial photographer in Minneapolis, MN and have been since 1979. I specialize in photographic food illustration and still life/product photography. The studio is my usual hang out, but I am equally at home on location. An inherent part of my nature is that I am a perfectionist, to me a image is ongoing and can always be improved upon.

  • How did I get into Commercial Photography? That is a long story and makes for good conversation during shoots and over lunch. I can tell you that I received my photographic education and a B S degree in Industrial/Commercial Photography at Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara CA. A great school by the way.

  • Why food photography? I know that I was educated in "Industrial" photography, but that was early in my career. I love to eat and from very early on I was attracted to food photography. Besides food offers some challenging obstacles for the photographer. Isn't the "challenge" what it is all about?
